This coming weekend, I get to be a part of something pretty radical. I’m going to be showcasing some of my skills at the Coconut Grove Festival in Miami. Coconut Grove has long been considered Miami’s original Art District.
In 1963, local theater maven Charlie cinnamon asked to handful of locals to re-create an outdoor Parisian eggs exhibition as a publisher the start for Coconut Grove Place house production of Irma La Douce.
50 years later that little art fair is now known as the Coconut Grove Arts Festival-one of the largest outdoor arts festivals in the nation. I have been invited by Jeep/Chrysler to paint one of my murals while I’m on site. Someone lucky attendant gets to walk away with that!
I am both excited and grateful for this opportunity. If you’re in this area, definitely stop by and say hello.
If you know of family and friends that would be interested, encourage them to show up and see what I do best. Who knows, you might be the lucky winner that ends up walking away with my live painted mural!
